Frankie Gavin: I think " Frankie goes to town " is one of the all time classic trad cd albums. Frankie also released more than 16 cd's with a band called DeDannan so you'll have plenty to choose from

Liz Carroll: Liz is my favourite fiddle player so as far as I'm concerned any of her cd's are a great buy, the cd with John Doyle is great. check out www.lizcarroll.com for more info

Steve Cooney: all of his cd's are great but i think his duets with Seamus Begley are a must for trad lovers

Arty Mc Glynn, his duet album with fiddle player Nollaig Casey is great

Noel Hill: check out www.noelhill.com. Noel is a stunning concertina player and one of our best known Irish musicians

Niall Vallely: his solo cd "Beyond Words" is one of my favourites, it's nearly all newly written tunes and a lot of bass so not so traditional but absolutely some of the finest concertina playing you'll ever hear
